NEEDS-DRIVEN SERVICES & SUPPORT

The Zambezi Network aims to source, set-up or otherwise directly provide essential conservation support and services to Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and other key stakeholders, across critical environmental threats, gaps and opportunities in the middle-lower Zambezi Valley. By providing assistance where needed, we hope to enhance conservation efficiencies and improve the overall holistic health of the landscape.

NEEDS, GAPS & OPPORTUNITIES OF THE LANDSCAPE

Through a comprehensive pan-landscape stakeholder engagement process conducted in 2022 by UNDP GEF 6 (Lower Zambezi Biodiversity Project), the Zambezi Network compiled a list of key needs and gaps of the landscape that have been identified by the landscape stakeholders. The Zambezi Network aims to connect cross-sector conservation stakeholders to resources and experts across these focus areas, as well as provide direct support where no other programmes exist. The below projects and indirect services are provided in alignment with these identified gaps.
